DATA PROTECTION POLICY
The Wildlife Ark Trust is a small charity that is run by its trustees. It does not hold any information on any of the trustees. There are no staff or volunteers and the charity does not work with children or vulnerable individuals/groups.
The charity holds the contact details of a number of high profile individuals which it believes might support the charity in the future. These contact details are used exclusively to write to these celebrities, or their agents, to ask for their support. The contact details are not shared with any third parties. The contact details came from sources that are accessible by the public such as “Who’s Who” and “The Handbook”. The charity does not hold any personal data on these individuals.
The only other contact details held by the Wildlife Ark Trust are those of individuals or organisations the charity has worked with in the past. Although these details are in the public domain, they are not shared with third parties unless the subject gives his/her permission first. The charity does not hold any type of personal data concerning the individuals or the members of the organisations.
One trustee has been appointed as data protection officer and he has sole access to the contact details mentioned previously.
